Während man in deutschen Schulen noch der Partitur der kleinen Mundorgel folgt und die neue deutsche Literatur kurz hinter der Blechtrommel im Unterricht komplett zum Erliegen kommt offenbart ein Blick über den Teich, das es der Motivation und Entwicklung der Sprösslinge nicht schädlich ist den Unterricht etwas zeitgemäßer zu verpacken ….

Emmanuel Jal: The music of a war child

Hip-hop star Emmanuel Jal first exploded into dance halls with Gua in 2005. His music has energized music lovers of all ethnicities and nations. But Jal’s life story is far darker. Swept up into the Sudanese rebel army at age seven, he finally escaped with 400 fellow soldiers, 16 of whom survived, the rest succumbing to starvation, ambush and animal attacks. Rather than resort to cannibalism, Jal ate snails and vultures until he arrived at a refugee camp, where he was adopted by aid worker Emma McCune and later sent to England.
Jal found an outlet for his turbulent life story in music. His lyrics tell moving and disturbing stories, but wrap them into hope and love. He is active in charity work across Africa, fighting against poverty and child warfare. War Child, his biography, was released in early 2009 along with a documentary film.

Nach dem positiven Feedback auf unser “Manifest” gehen wir nun in die nächste Runde und präsentieren heute einen ersten Entwurf für eine Mindmap, die sich mit den relevanten Aspekten einer geänderten Sichtweise auf das “System Schule” beschäftigt. Sie erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit, sondern soll helfen die nächsten nötigen Schritte zu gehen.
- Wie ermöglichen wir individuelles Lernen?
- Wie fördern wir die Kommunikation zur Meinungs”bildung”?
- Wie schaffen wir die Verbindung von Schule zu Leben und Alltag?
In demnächst folgenden Präsentationen & Papieren, werden wir Strategien als Diskussionsgrundlage in den “Raum” stellen und mit den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen auch praktische Beispiele liefern. Auf der Seite “Ideas Project” werden Vision und Ideen aus den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen und Disziplinen zusammengetragen, sowohl von bekannten Wissenschaftler und Strategen, als auch auch von Webusern und in einer interaktiven Mindmap aufbereitet.
Unter den vielen interessanten Beiträgen findet sich auch ein Video von Don Tapscott, Unternehmensberater und Autor, der sich zwar in seinem Buch “Wikinomics” hauptsächlich auf die Auswirkungen der kollektiven Vernetzung auf die Wirtschaft beschäftigt, aber damit auch einen generellen Anstoß liefert, wie sich gesellschaftliche Strukturen und damit auch Bildungsstrukturen, in Zukunft durch das Internet verändern werden.
